Senior Network Security Engineer - Transit Systems We're seeking a seasoned network security professional to oversee and maintain security infrastructure supporting transit-related technologies. This role focuses on ensuring systems are secure, reliable, and operating at peak performance, with particular emphasis on intelligent traffic systems.
Key Responsibilities: - Manage and monitor network security tools such as firewalls, VPNs, and remote access systems
- Perform audits, risk assessments, and security incident response
- Oversee authentication/access controls and enforce least-privilege principles
- Support business continuity and disaster recovery plans
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues; coordinate with vendors and internal teams
- Implement and review security changes and upgrades
What You Need: - At least 6 years of experience in network security operations
- Strong background in managing and securing infrastructure
- Familiarity with intelligent transportation systems and network protocols
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to all audiences
- Experience with threat monitoring, incident management, and risk analysis
Nice to Have: - Leadership experience within technical teams
- Deep understanding of security standards and traffic system connectivity
