Falconwood is a woman owned, veteran owned company providing consultation and programmatic support to Department of Defense Information Technology (IT) initiatives and programs. We provide expert advice and consultation on a diverse rant of IT subjects focusing on acquisition, policy, cybersecurity, engineering and process development. The Senior Engineering Technical Advisor will be responsible for providing strategic engineering guidance, technical oversight, and cross-functional coordination in support of Program Executive Office Digital and Enterprise Services' mission execution and ongoing modernization efforts. Advise on enterprise network design and secure transport solutions across hybrid, multi-vendor environments. Provide technically grounded, leadership-facing input on routing strategies, interconnects, and cloud gateway architectures. Support implementation of Zero Trust Architecture, with an emphasis on microsegmentation and transport-layer isolation enforcement. Engage in executive briefings while collaborating with engineers from operational and sustainment teams to drive practical solutions. Contribute subject-matter expertise across core network domains, including SDN, IP/MPLS transport, hybrid cloud integration, and virtualized infrastructure. Support Agile Release Trains (ARTs) through architectural reviews, technical assessments, and modernization planning. Active Secret clearance Must meet DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II requirements (e.g., Security+ or equivalent) Proven subject matter expertise in modern network and transport engineering, with experience in one or more of the following: Software-Defined Networking (SDN), IP routing, MPLS, WAN design, network segmentation, or hybrid cloud connectivity Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM), including change, configuration, and incident management processes Strong communication skills, with the ability to brief senior leaders and collaborate across engineering functions (Operations, Sustainment, Architecture) Experience supporting IT modernization initiatives in a DoD or federal environment Willingness to travel approximately 10% annually
