Active IAT level II certification
5+ years of experience as a Network Engineer
Experience with VLAN Trunking
Experience with Cisco networking (routers, switches, firewalls, etc) Vmware experience Job Description Seeking a mid- to senior-level Network Engineer to support designated special operations units in a full-time capacity. This role requires strong interpersonal skills due to continual interaction with managers, clients, and users of varying technical backgrounds in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: Engineer, install, and troubleshoot data and telecommunications network infrastructure in a critical test bed environment. Maintain and troubleshoot systems and networks, including Cisco routers, switches, and data center equipment. Support infrastructure requirements, including WAN connections, VLAN trunking, IPsec, firewalls, and physical security. Utilize VCenter and manage Virtual Machines for network monitoring and optimization. Troubleshoot a wide array of system, networking, and hardware issues. Assist users with network operations and ensure smooth functionality. Utilize SharePoint and Microsoft Office Suite to manage and track workflows. Create and update network documentation, perform network assessments, and report results. Collaborate with the production networking team to support the mission of the customer. Exhibit expertise in network engineering, including hardware, software, and wireless technologies. Develop and document administrative operational procedures as needed. Assist users with common problems within Systems Environments Perform Tier 1-2 level systems support for domain operations (user account support, application support) Perform STIG and RMF requirements on multiple hardware platforms (windows/rhel/cisco devices) Qualifications: In-depth knowledge of Cisco routers, switches, and data center equipment. Proficiency with routing protocols, TCP/IP, VPNs, and network security devices. Experience with protocol analyzers, IOS languages, and third-party applications. Familiarity with physical security, WAN connectivity, VLANs, and firewalls. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CISSP) are highly preferred.
