Senior Network Engineer

Primary Skills: Networking (Expert), Cisco (Expert), PaloAlto (Proficient), SD WAN (Proficient), Azure (Proficient) Contract Type: W2 Only Duration: 5+ Months Location: Rancho Cordova, CA / Sacramento, CA (Hybrid) Pay Range: $60 - $65 Per Hour on W2 Job Summary: We are on the hunt for a Senior Network Engineer with a knack for designing, implementing, and maintaining cutting-edge network infrastructure. The successful candidate will lead efforts in creating robust network solutions, ensuring the highest levels of network security and performance, and adeptly managing cloud networking initiatives. This role demands a seamless blend of strategic network planning, hands-on technical expertise, and a proactive approach to network observability. Key Responsibilities: Architect and deploy sophisticated network configurations to support organizational needs. Ensure the reliability and efficiency of BGP, OSPF, and Cisco network protocols. Lead the management of Cisco/Meraki switching and Wi-Fi infrastructure, and Cisco Nexus Data Center networks. Prioritize network security by effectively managing PaloAlto Firewalls and Global Protect. Champion SD WAN and cloud networking solutions, with a spotlight on Cisco Viptella and Azure platforms. Must-Have Skills: In-depth understanding of BGP, OSPF, and Cisco routing/switching technologies. Proficiency in network security tools, specifically PaloAlto solutions. Demonstrated experience with cloud networking, preferably Azure. Industry Experience Required: Previous experience within network engineering roles, with specific exposure to Cisco/Meraki products, PaloAlto security solutions, and SD WAN technologies. Familiarity with Azure cloud services is highly desirable.
