Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Networking, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 10 years of hands-on network engineering experience in enterprise environments.
- Deep expertise in Cisco routing and switching technologies.
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Palo Alto NGFW and Panorama administration.
- Proficient in Prisma VPN (client and clientless), IPsec, and SSL VPN.
- Onsite 5x a Week + 2 Weeks On/Off On Call (minimal issues in a year)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- At least one certification preferred: CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE.
- Knowledge of SolarWinds or similar monitoring tools.
- Hands-on experience with Aruba IAP 505, Aruba Central, ClearPass, and 802.1x EAP-TLS.
- Experience with AWS VPC configurations (peering, gateways).
- Strong understanding of SSO/MFA systems, including SAML and Okta.
Job Description
As a Network Engineer, you will be directly responsible for designing, implementing, optimizing, and securing our global network infrastructure. The biggest challenge they are facing is needing a redesign and documentation for their current environment and this role has the flexibility to do so. You will ensure the performance, reliability, and scalability of our systems through a proactive and hands-on approach. You'll be empowered to deploy new technologies and implement robust solutions with modern platforms including Palo Alto, Cisco, Meraki, and Aruba.
Key Performance Objectives
- Deliver 3+ impactful network enhancements or optimizations annually, each tied to measurable improvements (e.g., reduced latency, improved uptime, increased throughput, or enhanced security posture).
- Coach and mentor IT team members on best practices in networking, creating a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
- Lead network integrations that support new business initiatives, office expansions, or cross-departmental collaborations within defined timelines and without service disruptions.
Essential Accountabilities:
- Proactively monitor and analyze network performance, identifying trends and resolving issues before they impact business operations.
- Design, install, and configure highly secure and resilient networks, including firewalls, switches, routers, and access points.
- Maintain up-to-date security protocols through regular patching and upgrades, especially on all critical network infrastructure.
- Drive implementation of disaster recovery procedures and ensure business continuity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network problems, escalating and documenting as needed.
- Document all network architecture, processes, changes, and configurations.
- Provide reliable and responsive remote and on-site support to internal users.
- Stay ahead of industry trends by researching and implementing new technologies.
- Collaborate with project teams to support enterprise-wide initiatives requiring network solutions.
- Participate in off-hour maintenance windows or critical fixes as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Compensation: 140,000-150,000/yr
