Job Summary We are looking for a Senior Network Security Engineer to support our client's overall networking design and security infrastructure and assist with developing a long-range strategy aligned with the Board's current state and business strategy. The Senior Network Security Engineer works across the Infrastructure Systems and Cybersecurity team to provide technical leadership on assigned projects.
Primary Responsibilities - Maintains the network infrastructure and participates in day-to-day oversight for data security, policy development, deployment, risk management, awareness training, regulatory compliance, third-party vendor security assessment, information security operations, and application security.
- Network & Systems Architecture, Design, and Deployment of on-premise and cloud infrastructure.
- Supports disaster recovery planning, preparation, and testing of all critical systems by monitoring computer systems, network servers, communication systems, and servers in the data operations center, co-location data centers, and the Microsoft Azure environment.
- Leads the installation and configuration of network and security devices, utilizing diagnostic and monitoring software to identify potential issues and prevent disruptions to the production environment.
- Supports the transfer of confidential data from third party vendors and administration of network infrastructure appliances and security controls.
Education and Experience - Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) is required. (CCNP) is desirable.
- Cisco Firewall Experience, ASA/FTD, FMC, IDS/IPS policy, routing, and security.
- Cisco Catalyst, WAN/LAN & Datacenter switching, routing, storage, and security devices.
- Cisco Client administration and configuration experience is desirable.
- Netskope SASE SDWAN experience is desirable.
- Microsoft Azure Networking, Routing, Express Routes, Load Balancing, Application, and Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) are desirable.
- A willingness to seek or retain a security certification, such as Security +, CISA, or CISSP.
- A high degree of competence in analyzing user needs, providing solutions, and resolving security issues.
- Functional understanding of application, database, physical and system security, and related computer technology and concepts.
- Familiarity with Human Resources Information Systems, Windows network, Microsoft Active Directory security, Cisco Phone System, Microsoft Azure IAAS, subscriptions, and connectivity.
- Familiarity with Cloud Infrastructure & Security services.
- An ability to provide project management oversight of complex infrastructure projects.
- An ability to work overtime as required as well as nights and weekends and an ability to occasionally travel to a remote location with reliable means of transportation.
- An ability to stay current and maintain a level of expertise with technology advances in personal computer hardware and software via seminars, literature, and formal training.
