Job Description
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Ensure the secure operation and upkeep of both physical and virtual network infrastructure.
- Oversee the management of LAN/WAN, firewalls, routers, switches, and VPN services.
- Configure and deploy new physical and virtual network appliances as needed.
- Develop and maintain detailed network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and change management records.
- Support compliance efforts such as FedRAMP, RMF, and other security frameworks related to networking.
- Execute project-level initiatives tied to IT infrastructure.
- Provide expert guidance on networking-related initiatives.
- Lead or contribute to training and mentorship efforts in support of network operations.
- Perform additional operational tasks as assigned.
Experience and Core Competencies:
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with network configuration and maintenance.
- Deep understanding of network protocols and their applications.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex networking issues effectively.
- Possession of Cisco or other recognized professional network certifications.
- Strong track record of collaborative teamwork to achieve goals.
- Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with regulated or compliance-driven operational environments is advantageous.
- Active CompTIA Security+, CASP, or CISSP certifications are a bonus.
