HME is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join our team. The Senior Network Engineer designs and maintains LAN/WAN architecture, infrastructure, appliances, circuits, and associated devices and services. Optimizes and ensures network security. Coordinates company data communications network, network system planning, monitoring, testing, and servicing. Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation and judgment. As a backup, performs system administration functions.

What you will do in the position:

• Responsible for capacity planning, design, engineering, and operations of a global MPLS Network

• Design, architect, and manage installation, configuration and maintenance of the corporate network for scalable, resilient, and secure LAN/WAN infrastructure

• Engineering and administration of firewalls

• Install, configure, and maintain necessary hardware for high availability of the network

• Install new software releases, system upgrades and patching

• Maintain and support high density Wi-Fi network infrastructure

• Lead network operations engineer for high level troubleshooting

• Provide continuous 24x7 support of Cisco wireless/Wi-Fi infrastructure

• Provide excellent customer support to existing and potential customers

• Communicate with vendors on network requirements for new equipment and/or related issues

• Owning current network monitoring tools including configuration, maintenance, and optimization

• Perform system backups and recovery of all operational devices

• Document, track, and monitor network related problems to ensure a timely resolution

• Assist in administration, maintenance, development, implementation, and documentation of policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of information and availability of systems

• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions

What you will need to succeed in this position:

• 8+ years related experience including 5+ years in a Cisco network engineering role

• BA or BS (college graduate) - Preferred Related Field

• 5 - 10% travel required

• Experience with following network protocols is required: BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, MPLS, TCP/IP, BFD, Q-in-Q, Multicast Routing, QoS, Open/R and SRv6

• Experience managing firewalls for the enterprise environment

• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP suite and understanding of all layers of the OSI model

• Senior-level experience owning VPN technologies for establishing site to site connectivity

• Knowledge of 802.1x authentication/accounting and understanding of the RADIUS protocol

• Wireless experience and knowledge of IEEE 802.11b/g/n/ac/ax is preferred

• Analytical, logical and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills

• Excellent customer service, communication, and teamwork skills

• Highly experienced in a comprehensive variety of network technologies and topologies.

• Highly experienced in establishing and maintaining LAN/WAN network telecommunications.

• Knowledge and experience with disaster recovery and resiliency solutions.

• Knowledge and experience with Windows and Linux OS for servers and workstations

• Knowledge and experience in security compliance

• Knowledge and experience with supporting and maintaining a cloud-hosting environment

Pay Range: $123,900 - $165,200 per annum. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for the role. This may vary depending on experience and other factors. Our benefits package includes tuition reimbursement; 3 weeks paid vacation your first year, paid holidays, medical, vision and dental coverage, pet insurance, life insurance, and 401K contributions.
