Please Note: While the below description is written for the Data Network Engineering variant, our Collab (aka Voice) position matches location and level of responsibilities but focuses on a modern UC enterprise (multi-vendor, multi-network, complex interconnections, etc). 99999 Consulting LLC seeks to add a Senior Network Engineer/Architect to our team in the Washington DC area (not downtown). Located inside JBAB (Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling), in a secure setting. We're looking for a strategic-minded, exceptional IT professional with the depth and breadth to help define the future arc of technological solutions in an organization. Clearance: TS/SCI ultimately required Company POC is a senior-level technologist with direct experience in the environment. This perspective along with the long-term thinking at the company drives focus on the best all-around match for the customer, team member, and company. Responsibilities:
• Ensure the overall health and security posture of a complex network architecture
• Collaborate with technical and nontechnical stakeholders on organization-wide IT strategies
• Lead and coordinate the creation and/or evolution of the enterprise architecture function or program
• Support all phases of network and network-security design, implementation, proactive monitoring, troubleshooting and analysis of firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), security controls and policies.
• Develop system specifications, architecture designs, integration and test plans, and all relevant documentation as required by the organization
• Develop security assessment and mitigation strategies, maintain compliance with DoD Information Assurance requirements as well as ensuring service performance indicators are met
• Design and manage network infrastructure which includes routers, switches, load balancers, WAN optimizers, firewalls, wireless controllers, wireless access points, Identity Services Engine (ISE), and IDS/Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) devices.
• Work closely with Network Engineers and Network Operations to support continual improvement of the IT environment
• Assist in the design and implementation to scale network automation and manage complex deployment via automation.
• Mentor other technical staff on the team Requirements: U.S. citizenship 8 years of relevant experience Willingness to commute to Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB), Monday - Friday.
