Senior Network Administrator

$90k on a 6-12 month probationary basis with an increase to $100k if the candidate is a good fit.

The Archdiocese of New Orleans is seeking a full time Senior Network administrator with at least 10 years of networking experience. The ideal candidate would also have 5 years of experience managing Checkpoint firewalls and enterprise server equipment in a datacenter setting. Experience managing 3cx phone systems a plus.

Skills and Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience managing Checkpoint firewalls

• 10 years of networking experience, or a combination of education and experience commensurate with the requirements of this position

• 5 years of experience managing VMware virtual environment

• 5 years of experience managing enterprise server equipment in a datacenter setting

• 5 years of experience managing Veeam backup systems

• Experience managing 3cx phone systems a plus.

• Proficient in networking and routing protocols

• Proficient in Windows server / Active Directory

• Network Maintenance:
Installing, configuring, and maintaining network hardware and software, including routers, switches, and servers.

• Troubleshooting:
Identifying and resolving network connectivity problems, performance issues, and security vulnerabilities. Must be willing to travel around the New Orleans metro area.

• Performance Monitoring:
Continuously monitoring network performance to ensure optimal speed, reliability, and availability.

• User Support:
Providing technical support to users, answering questions, and resolving network-related issues.

• Documentation:
Maintaining detailed documentation of the network infrastructure, including hardware, software, configurations, and security policies.

• Disaster Recovery and Backup:
Implementing and managing disaster recovery and backup procedures to ensure data protection and business continuity.

• Security Measures:
Protecting networks from unauthorized users through physical and technical means.

• User Access and Permissions:
Managing user accounts, passwords, and permissions to ensure appropriate access to network resources.
