Design and implement advanced-level AFSIM scenarios, models, and behaviors to simulate real-world threats and defense responses Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support OPIR and missile defense analysis, system evaluations, and trade studies Integrate and optimize C , Python, and SysML scripting to drive simulation realism and performance Work directly with stakeholders in a classified environment, supporting defense readiness through innovative modeling strategies Is This You?
7+ years of experience in modeling and simulation, operations research, or systems engineering 5+ years of hands-on experience using AFSIM with advanced-level scenario scripting Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Operations Research, etc.) OR Master's + 5 years of relevant experience Active Top Secret/SCI clearance required Detail-oriented problem-solver who thrives in collaborative, high-stakes environments Core Skills and Tools
Simulation & Frameworks: AFSIM (Advanced Framework for Simulation Integration and Modeling) Mission-Level Simulators: NGTS, OneSAF, ITASE Other Simulation Tools: MATLAB/Simulink, STORM, MBSE Programming & Technical Proficiency: C , Python, SysML (advanced scripting preferred) Systems engineering and operational analysis principles Agile development practices and DevSecOps familiarity Requirements
Education: Bachelor's in a STEM field + 7 years relevant experience, or Master's + 5 years of experience Clearance: Active TS/SCI required Experience: 5 years minimum as an AFSIM user with advanced scenario scripting Partial substitutions allowed (e.g., NGTS, OneSAF, STORM may qualify at 2:1 or 3:1 ratios) Preferred Qualifications
