Job Summary:
We are looking for a Senior Mobility Engineer to join our team. This person will serve as the primary engineer for our Android devices and will help ensure a stable, consistent experience across all mobile platforms. They will support these devices across 254 (and growing) clubs, and Ambient/Perishable Distribution Centers.
Responsibilities:
- Expertise in Workspace One (WSOne): Extensive hands-on experience with Airwatch/Workspace One, preferably in a retail environment. Experience with Wavelink is a plus.
- Zebra Hardware and Software: Highly skilled in Zebra Mobility, including TC51, TC52x, TC53e, MC9200, MC9300/MC9400, VC80X, and VC8300 devices.
- Mobile Device Deployment: Experience with deployment of mobile devices and software upgrades (Apple iPads, Android Tablets, Zebra, Honeywell, and Windows CE).
- Lifecycle Management: Support all mobility-related upgrades and lifecycle management for clubs and distribution centers.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot device and application-related issues reported by clubs and distribution centers.
- Coordination: Coordinate and communicate with all IT departments, application developers, internally and externally to support and implement new solutions.
- Platform Troubleshooting: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve all mobility issues on Android and iOS platforms.
- Engineering Solutions: Continually evaluate the environment from a device standpoint and regularly provide engineering solutions and efficiencies.
- Honeywell Mobility: Experience in Honeywell Mobility including configuring, deploying, maintaining, patching, and supporting.
- Device Management: Experience with enrolling and managing Honeywell & VoCollect units into Workspace One.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Daily Operations: Approximately 40% of the role involves day-to-day work, including configuration and deployment of TC51/TC52, MC9300, and Apple iPad devices for existing and new clubs/DCs.
- Escalated Tickets: Handling escalated tickets (30%) may require troubleshooting devices with club users or using remote management via our MDM.
- Project Work: About 30% of the role involves project work, including ad-hoc requests from business teams or lifecycle management (LCM) projects. Project work may also include MDM cleanup and maintenance.
- On-call requirements: Some off-hour worked required on a rotating schedule.
Competencies:
- Workspace One Expertise: Vast experience with Omnissa Airwatch/Workspace One.
- Zebra Mobility Expertise: Extensive experience with Zebra Mobility devices.
- Honeywell Mobility: Experience in Honeywell Mobility & VoCollect devices.
- Problem Solving: Analyze and develop innovative solutions for complex problems involving availability and/or performance at the system level.
- Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for architectural design, logical layout of services, network communication services, IP address and port traffic data, and service communications information for the MDM solution.
- Coordination: Coordinate with network, virtualization, security, Active Directory/Exchange teams on the implementation of solutions.
- Communication Skills: Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Independence: Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience.
This is a hybrid role. Tuesday through Thursday are in-office days at BJ's Club Support Center in Marlborough, MA and Monday and Friday are remote days.
In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. At BJ's Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications. The pay range for this position is starting from $98,000.00.
