Senior ML Engineer (Top Secret Clearance) with Security Clearance

Zachary Piper Solutions is currently seeking a Sr ML Engineer to support an Army program, on-site at Fort Belvoir, VA . This position requires an active Top Secret clearance . The Sr ML Engineer will assist a US Army Command to create cybersecurity solutions that are ML-driven within a cloud-based environment. This job is open for applications on 5/29/25. Responsibilities for the Sr ML Engineer include: Work directly with stakeholders to understand requirements Liaise with government software vendors and other asset creators Lead coordination of point solutions into broader capabilities for Army Defense Cyber Operations Requirements for the Sr ML Engineer include: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field 3-5 years of experience in an ML/AI development role Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) Strong programming skills (e.g., Python, Java) Familiarity with agile development methodologies Certifications in Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence / Data Science Ability to work independently and in a team environment Proficiency in C (in addition to Python/Java) Extensive experience with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras) Experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model selection Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software architecture Must be eligible to work in the United States and obtain and maintain an Active U.S Government Top Secret Clearance.
