To support this dynamic program, Leidos is looking for a
Messaging Solutions Engineer to join our team.
Role Overview The ideal candidate will assist the Government Lead with daily engineering tasks. The Messaging Solutions Engineer will manage the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and administration for Exchange, Active Directory Application Mode (ADAM), and the Global Address List (GAL). Key responsibilities include:
- Design, develop, and integrate mobile solutions incorporating devices like cellular phones, modems, air cards, and PDAs into the Enterprise Network, supporting capacity planning for messaging solutions.
- Monitor security updates following Government procedures for directory services.
- Facilitate remote access to unclassified email, calendars, and contacts.
- Design data services and peripherals, including enterprise server support and DoD PKI or approved token encryption.
- Manage highly available Exchange solutions utilizing Database Availability Group (DAG)/Datacenter Activation Coordination (DAC).
- Ensure compliance with Records Retention and handle litigation holds.
- Oversee Messaging Disaster Recovery and Message Classification processes.
- Manage tasks related to application networking, protocols, Information Assurance (IA), routing, and Local Area Network (LAN).
- Integrate Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) certificates and network accounts to support two-factor authentication for all Active Directory domain account categories, eliminating password-based authentication.
- Develop and integrate identity and access management solutions such as ForeFront Identity Manager and Oracle/Sun Identity.
- Design and manage the Global Address List (GAL) for use via Outlook and similar platforms.
- Implement system integration with WSUS, System Center Configuration Manager, HBSS, external storage devices, and virtualization technologies, including VMware and Hyper-V.
- Coordinate system integration with SQL 2008 R2 and server installations across various hardware.
- Oversee backup strategies using automated tools like NetbackUp for disaster recovery.
Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, or a related field with 10 years of relevant experience.
- Active Secret clearance.
- Must possess IAT III certification (CISSP, CASP, etc.).
- Experience upgrading and integrating Exchange , Exchange 2010/2013, and Windows 2008R2/2012 R2.
- Familiarity with Outlook Anywhere, Windows PowerShell scripting, Group policy management, and Internet IIS.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with ForeFront Identity Manager and Oracle/Sun Identity.
- Proficient in Exchange Migration/Upgrade from and Exchange 2010/2013, Windows 2008R2/2012 R2 upgrades.
- Knowledge of Datacenter Activation Coordination (DAC)/Database Availability Group (DAG) and BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES).
- Experienced with Outlook, Outlook Web Access, Windows PowerShell, and Group policy management.
- Familiarity with WSUS, System Center Configuration Manager, VMware, Hyper-V, SQL 2008 R2, and NetbackUp.

Pay Range: Pay Range $89,700.00 - $162,150.00
