Spencer Clarke Group is looking for several RMNs on behalf of a HMP client. The role involves providing mental health care to prisoners, including assessments, treatment plans, therapy, and reviews. You will work closely with other professionals (healthcare, probation, prison officers) to ensure coordinated and high-quality care.
Start as soon as possible for 12 weeks.
What you will do:
- Manage your own caseload of prisoners with mental health needs.
- Assess, plan, and deliver care, including post-release planning, working under the Care Programme Approach within a multidisciplinary team.
- Offer evidence-based care while respecting individual backgrounds and needs.
- Provide wellbeing support and liaise with substance misuse and primary care teams.
- Keep accurate records in line with NMC standards.
What we're looking for:
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (NMC)
- Experience with therapeutic techniques (e.g., CBT, motivational interviewing)
- Experience in a prison or criminal justice setting is essential.
- Ability to manage complex caseloads and supervise others.
