Current Opportunities
We are seeking experienced Senior and Principal Mechanical Engineers to join a major project team based on site in Plymouth. The role involves leading and delivering engineering solutions across a range of technical design packages.

Role Location
This role is primarily site-based in Plymouth, with some flexible working options. Travel expenses and accommodation will be reimbursed as needed. We also have offices in the South-West for part-time work or flexible arrangements.
Secondment Details
Full-time attendance is required at the Plymouth site. Our working week typically includes four longer days on-site and a shorter day working from home or the office on Friday.
Responsibilities
- Lead engineering resources for technical design packages.
- Deliver engineering solutions for large-scale projects.
- Follow relevant standards and codes to produce high-quality designs.
- Collaborate with UK and overseas teams for integrated solutions.
- Create technical deliverables, presentations, and engage with clients.
- Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and develop fee/bid proposals.
- Manage internal design resources and timelines.
- Engage with specialists, suppliers, and manufacturers.
- Review and verify design practices and solutions.
- Participate in coordination and review meetings.
Requirements
- Experience with Dockyard or MOD design preferred.
- Qualification in Building Services or Mechanical Engineering.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency with technical software and drawing tools.
- Flexible, proactive, and responsible attitude.
- Self-motivated with a focus on quality.
- Professional registration (CEng, MCIBSE, or equivalent) or working towards it.
