Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineering Team Lead to join our dynamic team. This role requires a diverse background in metals manufacturing and a strong understanding of automation and mechatronics. The ideal candidate will be based in the Phoenix area and will play a crucial role in leading our engineering team and driving our manufacturing processes to new heights.
Qualifications:
• 5-10 years of experience in metals manufacturing, with a diverse background in welding, grinding, heat treating, and assembly.
• Strong understanding of automation and mechatronics.
• Proven experience working in multiple industries (aerospace, medical, automotive, or similar industries.)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Bilingual skills are a plus but not required.
Key Responsibilities:.
• Review incoming quotes, determine viability, and identify necessary processes to align with business strategy.
• Troubleshoot machine and component issues, ensuring efficient and reliable operations.
• Collaborate with the global team to determine the best suppliers and manage RFQs.
• Ensure alignment with business goals and make logical decisions regarding supplier capabilities.
• Participate in the design, tooling, and logistics processes as needed.
• Some travel to international locations (China, Malaysia, Turkey) as required (can expect 1 to 2 times a year).
