Senior Mechanical Engineer

Role Summary

We're seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with a comprehensive background in pipeline facility design and execution. This individual will lead the mechanical scope on high-impact projects, ranging from mid-size to complex, independently guiding engineering tasks with confidence and precision. In addition to delivering high-quality work, this role plays a key part in mentoring junior staff, supporting proposals, and maintaining alignment with client expectations. Oversight is minimal; initiative and expertise are essential.


What You'll Do

  • Lead the development and review of mechanical engineering designs, specifications, and calculations
  • Approve key documentation including data sheets, technical bid evaluations, and material requisitions
  • Manage the review process for vendor documents and participate in factory acceptance tests when required
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to finalize equipment lists, piping plans, and mechanical layouts
  • Ensure engineering deliverables align with project timelines and client standards
  • Serve as the go-to resource for mechanical and piping coordination during all project phases
  • Support business development efforts by contributing to proposal content and technical strategy
  • Provide training and technical leadership to junior engineers and designers
  • Remain flexible for short or long-term assignments at project sites or client locations

What You'll Bring

  • 7+ years of mechanical engineering experience, primarily focused on oil and gas infrastructure such as:
  • Compressor and pump stations
  • Metering/regulating systems
  • Storage terminals
  • Loading and unloading operations
  • Strong working knowledge of relevant codes and standards (US DOT, API, ASME, ANSI, NFPA, etc.)
  • Comfort with engineering tools and digital systems commonly used in mechanical design
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally

Required Credentials

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license
