Position: Senior Mechanical Engineer

A well-established, full-service MEP engineering firm with multiple offices across the U.S. is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join its Boston team. The firm specializes in delivering innovative and sustainable engineering solutions across various sectors, including higher education, healthcare, and science & technology.

Position Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in designing HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for complex projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the higher education, laboratory, and healthcare sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of mechanical systems for building projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
  • Collaborate with architects, electrical engineers, and other disciplines to develop integrated building solutions.
  • Perform engineering calculations, equipment selection, and system layout design.
  • Oversee project documentation, including specifications, drawings, and reports.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
  • Conduct site visits, coordinate with contractors, and provide construction administration support as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in mechanical engineering design, preferably within the MEP industry.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and energy modeling software.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, ASHRAE standards, and LEED requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
