Job Summary
The Senior Mechanical Engineer will lead the design and execution of complex mechanical systems across various power and energy projects, including renewables, nuclear, and thermal energy. This role is ideal for a technically strong, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment and is ready to take ownership of major design responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Manage mechanical design activities from concept through construction for energy-related facilities.
Develop technical documents including specifications, data sheets, and equipment lists.
Select and specify mechanical equipment such as pumps, heat exchangers, turbines, and HVAC systems.
Collaborate across engineering disciplines and serve as a key technical liaison with clients.
Review vendor submittals, conduct technical evaluations, and support procurement.
Provide mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to process improvements.
Assist with field engineering, equipment installation, and start-up as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's a plus).
8+ years of mechanical design experience in the energy or industrial sector.
Familiarity with codes and standards including ASME, ANSI, and API.
Proficiency in CAD and modeling tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks).
Strong communication skills and ability to manage technical teams and client interactions.
