The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will play a key role in developing and improving machining and assembly methods in electro-mechanical products and final testing. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will have the opportunity to learn from another experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer who is looking to assist with their replacement before retiring. After that, the new Senior Manufacturing Engineer will serve as technical leader for the team.

Key duties and responsibilities include:
- Driving shop floor CI through lean minded process/flow improvements and cross functional kaizen events
- Leading productivity improvements, automation implementation, and LEAN initiatives
- Developing and improving processes in a machine shop and assembly environment
- Being involved in capital expenditure discussions
- Understanding Customer and Engineering (Mechanical and Electrical) requirements and translating them into processes
- Troubleshooting production issues of mechanical and electrical nature
- Ability to understand electrical schematics and troubleshoot/identify component level issues
- Developing automation, optimized methods, special tooling & machine/test stand designs for the purpose of cost reduction, quality & process enhancement
- Developing requirements for tooling, fixturing, testing and support equipment

Profile
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- 10+ years in manufacturing, with strong experience working on machining & assembly processes
- Knowledge of LEAN/Six Sigma methodologies OR demonstrated experience with process improvement initiatives like: 5S, Kaizen Events, Value Stream Mapping, Pareto Charts, and more
- Experience communicating directly with outside vendors/processors
- Ability to write work instructions, create documentation for troubleshooting equipment/machinery
- Background successfully leading capital expenditure projects from start to finish

- Base Salary: $115,000 - $135,000 depending on level of experience
