Job Summary

The Senior Manager, Pricing & Proposals will lead the development and execution of pricing strategies to optimize profitability, support product lifecycle management, develop compelling customer proposals, and enhance market competitiveness. Reporting to the Director of FP&A, this role will collaborate cross-functionally with production, sales, marketing, R&D, innovation, and finance teams to align pricing with company objectives and supply chain dynamics.

Your deep experience and understanding of the cost structure will guide the development of the program strategy, shape workstreams and timelines, and ensure successful execution across all program phases.


This is what you will do:

  • Develop and implement pricing strategies for manufactured products, including cost-plus, value-based, and competitive costing/pricing models, to balance profitability and market share.
  • Analyze production costs, supply chain factors, and market trends to inform pricing decisions in a timely manner and ensure cost-effective strategies.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and market research to identify pricing opportunities and maintain a strong market position.
  • Monitor pricing performance metrics and adjust strategies to meet revenue, margin, and volume goals.
  • Partner with sales and production teams to design pricing structures, discounts, and contract terms that support customer acquisition and retention.
  • Lead the development of comprehensive and persuasive customer proposals in collaboration with sales, marketing, and innovation teams.
  • Lead the adoption of pricing tools and technologies to streamline data-driven decision-making, speed to market, and improve forecasting accuracy.
  • Conduct detailed cost analysis to identify opportunities for cost optimization and margin improvement.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, raw material costs, and regulatory changes to proactively adapt pricing strategies.
  • Present pricing recommendations and performance reports to senior leadership and key stakeholders.

This is what you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in pricing, revenue management, or strategic finance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful pricing strategies that drive profitability in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau, Qlik, Cognos, Hyperion, Power BI).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior executives.
  • Deep understanding of manufacturing cost structures, supply chain dynamics, and competitive positioning.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle NetSuite) or pricing software is a plus.
