Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned :
Responsible for all manufacturing procedures per GMP and FDA requirements.
Follow all batching instructions per individual batch tickets.
Must rotate raw material stock on a first-in, first-out basis.
Report all tank readings prior to the start of the shift.
Check all chemicals before the start of a batch to assure availability of raw materials and packaging items and communicate with purchasing personnel when material inventory levels are low.
Required to check rework and returned goods on a daily basis and use the proper amounts in batches.
Must fill out all logbooks, batch tickets, and other production paperwork with proper information.
Coordinate with Quality to bring sample of all batches to lab for Q.C. tests prior to packaging.
Required to assure all machine operators are filling proper containers with proper product.
Assure that bulk deliveries are hooked up to the proper storage tank prior to unloading.
Required to load and unload trucks and verify that information on paperwork (material, delivery day/time, weights, etc) is correct.
Required to keep Batch Stand area in a neat and orderly manner daily.
Communicate to Plant Maintenance any needed repairs/maintenance on equipment.
Follow all safety instructions and procedures.
Review, store, and request revisions of batch tickets for products manufactured.
Perform the inspection, testing, and approval of all raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
Provide certifications of product approval where necessary.
Perform testing and audits as necessary to ensure that all processes and products are in conformance.
Establish and maintain records as required for raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products.
Ensure that all test instruments, tools, practices, and procedures meet established standards.
Provide testing for materials returned to the manufacturing facility, when necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Perform all production entries into SAP.
Your Profile / Qualifications
The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $80,000 - $100,000 per year. GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States.
The pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for the position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. You may be eligible for additional rewards, such as discretionary bonus (based on eligibility) and/or equity awards.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Chemical Engineering, or Chemistry is preferred.
Alternatively, candidates may qualify with a minimum of 12 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
A strong working knowledge of the manufacturing industry, particularly in batch processes and hazardous liquid chemicals, is essential.
SAP production system knowledge is critical to success in this role.
