Audit - Senior Manager

Salary: $130,000 - $170,000 + Bonus
A leading CPA firm in the Greater Orlando area is seeking an experienced Senior Manager of Audit to lead its audit practice. This executive-level role is ideal for a CPA with a strong background in public accounting, strategic leadership, and extensive experience managing audit engagements at a high level. The Director of Audit will play a critical role in shaping the firm's audit strategy, driving operational excellence, and fostering client relationships.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Manager of Audit:Strategic Leadership & Audit Oversight -
Develop and implement the firm's audit strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry best practices.

Oversee the full audit lifecycle, from risk assessment and planning to execution and final reporting, ensuring efficiency and compliance.

Monitor regulatory changes and industry trends, adapting the firm's audit practices accordingly.
Team Development & Leadership -
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing audit team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and professional growth.

Provide strategic direction on complex audits, resolving challenges and ensuring adherence to GAAP and other industry standards.

Establish and enhance training programs to elevate staff competencies and audit methodologies.
Client & Business Development -
Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, building long-term relationships and identifying opportunities for business growth.

Drive business development initiatives, expanding the firm's audit practice and attracting new clients.

Represent the firm in industry conferences, networking events, and thought leadership opportunities.
Operational & Financial Management -
Manage audit department budgeting, resource allocation, and performance metrics to optimize efficiency and profitability.

Oversee quality control and compliance measures, ensuring all audits meet the highest professional and regulatory standards.

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance audit efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications of Senior Manager of Audit: -
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master's degree preferred.

Certification: Active CPA license required.

Experience: Minimum of 10+ years in audit, including 3+ years in a leadership role (CPA firm experience strongly preferred).

Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of GAAP, audit software, and regulatory frameworks.

Leadership & Business Acumen: Proven ability to lead teams, drive strategic initiatives, and contribute to business growth.

Salary Range: $130,000 - $170,000 plus Performance Bonus
