Senior Manager, Sales Enablement and Training - Genetic Sciences Division
Location: South San Francisco, CA; Carlsbad, CA; Waltham, MA; Madrid, Spain

As the Senior Manager of Sales Enablement and Training, you will craft, develop, and maintain a world-class global sales and leadership curriculum for approximately 1,000 commercial colleagues. You will guarantee alignment with our Commercial Training Strategy and Global Development Framework, coordinating curriculum implementation for consistency and structure. Your role involves collaborating with commercial leaders and the training team to build innovative and engaging sales programs. Success is measured by training completion, evaluation data, proficiency assessments, and key sales performance metrics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Strategy:
- Drive the development and implementation of sales training programs to boost efficiency and accelerate growth within the Genetic Sciences Division.
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales training strategies that align with global commercial objectives and regional business needs.
- Lead a team of sales trainers and coordinators, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of training programs globally.
- Program Development and Delivery:
- Design, develop, and maintain innovative learning solutions for the sales force, including instructor-led, virtual, eLearning, and blended learning experiences.
- Implement and manage onboarding training plans for new hires and ongoing development programs for seasoned sales professionals.
- Collaborate with regional teams to adapt global training initiatives to meet local requirements and ensure consistency and scalability.
- Performance and Evaluation:
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the efficiency of training programs.
- Apply learning reinforcement mechanisms and build sales managers' mentoring capabilities to ensure consistent and sustained application of skills.
- Foster an environment where standard methodology is shared and collaboration occurs across regions and verticals.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with group training teams, marketing, and other collaborators to ensure alignment of training content with sales strategies and business objectives.
- Build and maintain strong and positive relationships with commercial leaders to understand business challenges and drive training initiatives that address these challenges effectively.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required; Master's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive leadership experience within a commercial organization, with at least 10 years of combined experience in sales, commercial excellence, training, or operations.
- Experience in the biotech or clinical healthcare industry and in more than one geographic region (e.g., North America, Europe, Asia) is preferred.
- Proven experience in developing and delivering sales training programs in a global, matrixed organization.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong leadership abilities with a demonstrated capacity for critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage collaborators at all levels.
- Proficiency with software applications, particularly LMS (e.g., Docebo), CRM (e.g., ), and Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to collaborate across different teams and handle multiple projects at the same time with strong organizational skills.
- High energy level or equivalent experience, positive attitude, and ability to work well under pressure.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% globally.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $130,000.00-$194,950.00.
