Job Summary

We seek a Senior Manager of GTM Compensation Insights to play a pivotal role in shaping our sales compensation strategy and analytics.

As the Senior Manager of GTM Compensation Insights, you will lead a newly established function focused on resolving complex issues and enhancing reporting capabilities. Your expertise will be essential in developing and implementing analytics deliverables that inform critical business strategies through transformative insights. You will be challenged to gather and analyze data, formulate and test hypotheses, and present your findings through compelling presentations, dashboards, and visualizations.

Responsibilities

Sales Strategy and Operations

  1. Analyze complex business issues, define key questions, and conduct data-driven exploratory analyses to validate hypotheses.
  2. Develop and present high-quality recommendations and deliverables (eg, PowerPoint presentations, reports, dashboards) for executive-level stakeholders.
  3. Design and create dashboards, scorecards, and performance trackers that visually communicate insightful findings to help leadership understand root causes.
  4. Lead large-scale analytics projects like quarterly operating reviews to provide authoritative insights that guide go-to-market decisions.
  5. Mentor and guide other data and analytics practitioners in best practices for intelligence gathering, data quality improvement, and trend identification.

Data Exploration and Reporting

  1. Conduct in-depth data exploration across multiple platforms and files, making key recommendations based on findings.
  2. Utilize advanced analytical tools and techniques to identify and predict trends, correlations, and causal relationships among variables.
  3. Create and manage complex ad hoc, planned, and routine reports, incorporating visualizations and insights derived from data exploration.
  4. Address significant tactical or strategic questions, directing other analysts in report creation.

Client Management and Analytics Coaching

  1. Serve as an escalation point for resolving complex inquiries and issues with internal stakeholders.
  2. Recommend data exploration strategies and debrief clients on insights, ensuring clarity and understanding of reports.
  3. Present data confidently and professionally to colleagues, preparing them to address complex questions.

Qualifications

  1. Management-level experience in sales compensation, preferably within a technical or engineering industry.
  2. Proven ability to influence key decision-makers through data-driven insights.
  3. Proficiency in SQL, Power BI, and Tableau, with a willingness to adapt to new proprietary systems and software. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
