Job Description
As a member of the Business Communications and Operations Team, the senior manager will be responsible for rhythm of the business activities and related communications across the seven functions of the Specialty and U.S. Therapeutics Operations commercial business unit. This position will partner with function leadership to drive operational rigor, efficient coordination, and alignment that ultimately helps accelerate key business decisions, employee engagement opportunities, and progress on critical initiatives/goals. To excel in this role, a candidate will be a highly organized and collaborative problem solver who can see the big picture and distill a variety of inputs into decisions and succinct communications.
Key responsibilities include:
- Establish processes, templates/resources, and governance to support key business updates, decisions, and communication opportunities.
- Facilitate alignment discussions with leaders/teams and assemble the associated deliverables (e.g., event/leader engagement schedules, progress and pain point trackers, and related communications).
- Assess and assemble stakeholder maps and distribution lists, deploy leader emails via StaffBase to broad internal audiences, and track the associated metrics.
- Write and edit broad audience messages and coordinate business-unit wide message cascades (e.g., business unit awards, surveys, employee giving and volunteer opportunities, etc.)
- Support the team in logistics and content creation for key business unit/function events, such as Town Halls.
- Coordinate photo and b-roll capture across the business unit/functions.
- Build and maintain a repository of communications materials that enable consistent pull-through across the business unit (e.g., templates, key messages, speaking engagement transcripts, photos, videos, creative/logos, and function/capability descriptions).
Qualifications
- A bachelors degree in business, communications, or a related field.
- At least 3-5 years of industry experience (pharma/healthcare/life sciences preferred) with a proven record of driving cross-functional business operations activities and strategic communications initiatives.
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills (written and verbal) across a variety of mediums and stakeholders, including senior leaders.
- Demonstrated ability to partner with senior leaders, influence without authority, and navigate complexities in a matrixed environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and to intended outcomes, iterating or changing course when required.
- Strong business acumen and project management skills with an ability to anticipate team, function, and business unit needs.
- Excellent command of MS PowerPoint and Excel.
- A highly organized, team-oriented, collaborative, self-starter with an interest and ability to learn quickly.
