Senior Manager - Finance

The Senior Manager Finance will be a trusted finance partner supporting the Sales & Marketing functions and leading a team of 2 analysts. The role will be a key part of Gordian's finance team, reporting to the Senior Director, Finance and will partner with the Chief Sales Officer, Chief Customer Officer, VP Business Enablement & Sales Operations, and VP Commercial Marketing. The individual in the role will need a balance of providing finance leadership to the company, partnership with senior leaders, and a process improvement mindset to drive actions across the finance team.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing financial leadership in support of sales & marketing to evaluate investments to drive growth.
  • Oversee the budgeting and forecasting of the sales and marketing expenses and support the budgeting and forecast of bookings and setting and continuously monitoring organizations performance versus these targets throughout the year.
  • Oversee the P&L of Gordian's Estimating business and support the SaaS revenue streams across all of Gordian.
  • Provide day-to-day partnership with the sales and marketing leaders of Gordian.
  • Provide support and review of the monthly sales commissions calculations.
  • Partner with the Sales and Sales Operations leaders to evaluate annual Sales Compensation plans.
  • Lead and develop a small team of financial analysts to develop their capabilities and potential.
  • Conduct other financial analysis & work on other ad hoc projects as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • CPA/CIA or CPA/CIA Candidate Preferred.
  • 6-10 years of experience working in Public Accounting, Financial Reporting, or Internal Audit.
  • General understanding of financial/operating reporting, tax, and auditing concepts and practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, growth environment.
  • Strong Excel background.
  • Must be very detail oriented and have strong organizational, verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven success developing strong working relationships with all levels of management.
  • Can lead corporate initiatives & gain alignment & support for a plan.
  • Effective evaluating risks, identifying and managing mitigation plans.
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills.
  • Occasional travel may be required (less than 10%).
