Job Overview

We are currently seeking a dynamic, highly motivated, and experienced individual for the position of Senior Manager, LMS and Learning Operations. Our ideal candidate will be a high-achieving, enthusiastic professional who has significant success with implementing and managing a Learning Management System (LMS). Subject matter expertise in creating, updating and maintaining curricula, events and training sessions within an LMS is required. Able to lead and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders while driving continuous improvement and providing insights and expertise.

This position reports to the Executive Director of Learning and Organizational Development .

RESPONSIBILITIES:

LMS Management:
  • Partner on implementation and platform development of new LMS (Cornerstone), including recommending functional design processes and configuration.
  • Lead change efforts related to new LMS launch and user adoption, including new user training, admin training, launch materials and new programs.
  • Administer and maintain the LMS, managing Learning Content - Creating/updating/archiving different types of Learning Activities like curricula, courses, ILT Classes, etc.
  • Ensure proper tagging, metadata, and categorization to enhance the discoverability of learning content.
  • Monitor and analyze LMS usage, maintain reporting, ensuring it meets compliance requirements as well as providing regular reports to stakeholders
  • Troubleshoot and work with IT to resolve any L1 support technical issues related to the LMS and content.
  • Oversee day-to-day LMS operations, i.e., managing company-wide training inventory, Libraries, work with stakeholders to determine role/audience/org-based assignments, address L1 tickets regarding assignments and registration issues & functional questions.
  • Review release notes during upgrades to identify new/impacted functionalities, conduct testing, document changes and release notifications to end users when necessary.
  • Draft company wide communications regarding functionality/navigational changes during upgrades, coordinate with IT and other business admins for reviews.
  • Design notification templates for training assignments, reminders, overdue etc.
  • Oversee requests for content updates from functional stakeholders
  • Design customized content using content authoring tools like Cornerstone Create Tool, Brainshark, articulate 360 etc., export and create off-the shelf content in LMS.
  • Act as centralized admin, provide guidance and training to other departmental functional admins on LMS and content authoring tool functional capabilities, business processes.
  • Partner with internal teams - IT, HR, Quality, and Compliance to ensure employee training is available and completed in a timely fashion.
  • Oversee alignment with objectives, policies and SOP's.
  • Partner with stakeholder groups to provide usage reports that align with business objectives
  • Uploading of content and assignment to requested audiences
  • Ability to identify and analyze the completion metrics to increase effectiveness and participation and continue to build the brand and drive adoption of our current and future Learning Management Systems.
  • Create engaging, personalized learning content and services based on learner's talent profile, skills, interests and previous interactions by utilizing integrated LMS and LXP capabilities.
  • Actively participate in Monthly Admin Group, guiding key decisions. Share updates with HR.
  • Drive continuous improvement through biannual measures, including system usage and employee experience metrics.
  • Develop and lead new hire LMS training ensuring early adoption and positive user experience and provide training and support to stakeholders on how to use the LMS and access training materials and reports.
  • Provide input/oversight to annual training requirements.
  • Design prototypes and implementation steps for dashboard & landing pages.
Content Management & Instructional Design:
  • Curate and manage learning content within On Demand Learning platforms like Cornerstone SMB Essentials, LinkedIn Learning etc., ensuring it aligns with organizational development needs and business goals.
  • Design and develop instructional materials, including e-learning modules, videos, and other multimedia content.
  • Promote relevant and timely content to employees based on training priorities and individual development needs.
  • Design and implement user training including quick guides, recorded eModules, and assessments.
  • Maintain a repository of end user guides, business admin guides, documentation for conventions and best practices. Review & update guides during upgrades.
  • Support, implement, and recommend learning strategies and tools that leverage LMS and virtual learning technologies
  • Collaborate with other content creators, instructional designers and subject matter experts to ensure content is engaging, relevant, and aligned with organizational learning objectives.
  • Continuously monitor and update learning paths, personalized learning recommendations, and journeys based on user feedback and business needs.
  • Produce high-quality audio-visual training materials, including video tutorials, webinars, and interactive presentations.
  • Utilize various software tools to create and edit multimedia content.
  • Ensure all audio-visual assets are aligned with the brand's standards and training objectives.
Technology-Driven Learning Operations:
  • Manage digital learning platforms ensuring maximum ROI, including vendor management, being content expert, program development and enrollment, administration and reporting of adoption and usage (i.e., eCornell and Franklin Covey)
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive training framework for new hires.
  • Support the L&OD team with program registration, participation tracking, and content libraries. Develop new processes during the implementation phase of Cornerstone.
  • Incorporate multimedia content, digital learning experiences, gamification/badging, and adaptive learning experiences using technology in program design.
  • Streamline L&OD KPI reporting and tracking, leveraging technology to increase efficiencies.
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES :
  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in administering and optimizing Learning Management Systems (LMS), Learning Experience Platforms (LXP), instructional design role and ideally 10+ years of HR or training and development experience. (preferred experience with Cornerstone)
  • Subject matter expertise in e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Cornerstone Create Tool, Articulate, Captivate) and multimedia software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Proven expertise in managing Cornerstone SMB Essentials or a similar On Demand Learning platform.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • 5+ Years experience in the pharmaceutical or highly regulated industry.
  • Accredited Learning, Training, or Software certification (Cornerstone LMS & LXP preferred).
Knowledge and skills (general and technical):
  • Content development, digital and programming in HTML, Java Script, SCORM
  • Preferred experience in designing modern, flexible eLearning content in xAPI, CMI5 standards
  • Strength in designing and implementing innovative digital learning strategies
  • Proven ability to partner and collaborate effectively within a shared service model
  • Requires well-developed and highly effective listening, communication, presentation and persuasive skills, including the ability to receive, process and present both strategic and tactical information
  • Proven ability to conceptualize, lead, and implement learning systems and initiatives in the context of broader business/organizational objectives
  • Strong business acumen, program, and project management

The base salary range for this role is $148,400 to $185,500.
