Location BENTONVILLE, AR Career Area Supply Chain and Logistics Job Function Inventory Management Employment Type Regular/Permanent Position Type Salary Requisition WD What you'll do at What you'll do Position: Senior Manager, Demand ManagementJob Location: 702 SW 8th Street, Bentonville, AR 72716Duties: Directs forecast analysis for assigned department by identifying and analyzing factors that impact customer demand for products; designing and conducting statistical forecast analysis and ad hoc reports to incorporate impacting factors and identify trends, performance, and concerns; evaluating historical data; determining and incorporating demand forecast inputs; conducting error analysis in order to identify gaps or concerns; adjusting forecasting model based on changes to customer demand and trends; communicating forecast, including risks, uncertainty, and assumptions; and collaborating with key stakeholders to align demand forecasts to business plans. Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning. Manages inventory management process and strategy improvement for categories or department by evaluating and identifying factors that impact department and item performance; analyzing opportunities and gaps; developing solutions to address opportunities and gaps; recommending system settings that support the department strategy and align to business plans and financial goals; collaborating with key stakeholders to gain alignment for recommendations; and completing and maintaining inventory management settings in order to drive consistency and effectiveness. Directs demand management processes and analytical models and reviews the results for impact by collaborating with leadership at category or department level on recommendations for model and process change for a category or department only; partnering with key stakeholders to implement process and tools; recommending improvements to process and tools based on results in category group or department; and performing tests to track results on process, system, and model changes. Oversees the development and implementation of demand management processes and analytical models by collaborating on implementation and testing plan for designed changes for a total business unit; identifying process, data, and reporting needs; identifying areas of positive business impact; developing recommendations on model and process changes; providing guidance to key stakeholders on optimization opportunities and impacts; partnering with key stakeholders to teach optimized processes and tools; testing and tracking results on process, system, and model changes; and incorporating results into processes and model changes. Ensures business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost effectiveness; and participating in and supporting community outreach events. Manages demand forecast optimization by researching and recommending improved forecasting techniques, methods, and approaches; adapting, improving, and documenting best practice standards; updating demand analysis models based on learnings and industry best practices; identifying automation opportunities; engaging stakeholders to develop tool requirements; recommending approaches, processes, and procedures; forecasting business impact of process and system automation solutions; and building support for deploying new processes and tools.Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Engineering, Statistics, Business, or related field plus 4 years of experience in analytics, industrial engineering, supply chain, merchandising, or related experience.Skills Required: Must have experience with: Developing and implementing machine learning models (e.g., Random Forests, XGBoost, Neural Networks) for highly accurate demand forecasting; Building complex time-series forecasting models using techniques like ARIMA, Exponential Smoothing, Prophet, and Deep Learning (RNNs, LSTMs); Designing and optimizing supply chain network models using optimization techniques (e.g., linear programming, constraint programming, simulation modeling); Developing interactive dashboards and reports using advanced data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, D3.js, Plotly) and techniques (e.g., geospatial analytics, network visualization); Conducting ad-hoc data analysis and mining using advanced statistical techniques (e.g., hypothesis testing, clustering, regression, time-series analysis); Designing and implementing advanced inventory optimization models; Implementing sales and operations planning (S&OP) processes and integrated business planning (IBP) frameworks; Developing scripts and applications for data extraction, transformation, and reporting - Automating repetitive tasks and processes using scripting and robotic process automation (RPA) tools using SQL and Python; Project Management & NPI; and Strategic Planning.
