About the team and the role:

The Senior Manager, Intelligent Automation position is within eBay's Finance department, with a strategic focus on AI, automation, and finance transformation. This role works closely with Finance and Accounting Shared Services and Core Tech teams to drive impactful automation initiatives. This individual will report to the Director of Data Intelligence and Performance (Accounting.

This employee will be busy securing resources, ensuring budgetary alignment, and establishing governance frameworks for AI adoption within the Finance department. This employee will champion a culture of innovation and digital proficiency, encouraging effective collaboration across various finance sub-functions within eBay.

What you will accomplish:
  • Develop a comprehensive intelligent automation roadmap aligned with Finance's strategic objectives to improve operational efficiency
  • Partner with Finance leadership to identify and evaluate high-value automation opportunities that deliver measurable business outcomes
  • Lead cross-functional teams in driving end-to-end automation initiatives, ensuring successful implementation and operational stability
  • Implement robust performance tracking mechanisms to measure business impact, with a focus on Return on Investment
  • Provide expert guidance and drive innovation by exploring novel AI applications within Finance processes
  • Champion a culture of innovation, promoting digital proficiency through compelling communication and partner engagement
What you will bring:
  • Master's degree in Finance, Business computer science, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred
  • Dedication to working our Hybrid Model (3 days per week onsite) out of our Austin Texas office
  • 8+ years of dynamic experience in intelligent automation, AI implementation, or finance transformation
  • Proficiency in automation technologies such as RPA, AI/ML frameworks and tools, with experience in deploying AI models
  • Skills in Python, SQL, and experience using BI tools for financial reporting and analytics
  • Outstanding partner management and executive communication capabilities to build consensus among cross-functional teams.
  • Strategic problem solver with an agile approach and proactive problem-solving skills, capable of navigating ambiguity and delivering tangible results


The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:

$123,600 - $198,100 Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
