POD: Business Strategy & Monitoring POD
Role: Projections Planning & Business Monitoring & Reporting
Responsibilities:
Leading annual & monthly budgeting, forecasting, and variance/trend analysis of revenues, costs, and operating KPIs for the User Growth & Acquisition function:
Build detailed projections using financial modeling & scenario building of monthly budget plans for user acquisition. These plans will determine the distribution of advertising spends across media channels to ensure maximum ROI output.
Present projection scenarios with related assumptions to senior business leadership and obtain their buy-in.
Proactively forecast impact of assumption / policy changes to business models and communication of the same to all stakeholders.
Create interactive business dashboards on Tableau highlighting key financials & operating KPIs for CXO review and enhancing decision support.
Conducting weekly & monthly business reviews:
Actively monitor progress against approved plans on key financials and operating KPIs, and proactively catch and flag variances early. This requires a keen eye for detail, a strong grip of key operating metrics & strategic KPIs, and hustle in follow-through.
Conduct thorough root cause analyses of such variances with business teams and develop & present initiatives to get back on track.
Publish weekly outlook on various operating KPIs each month to the business leadership in the form of business review decks and orchestrate meetings across User Growth stakeholders (Growth Head, Acquisition Channels Head, Analytics Head, Revenue Head, Finance Head) as the central POC.
Facilitate cost review meetings for Acquisition Team (esp among channel owners) to deepdive into variances and evaluate cost optimization opportunities.
Conduct regular ROI analysis of performance marketing channels and collaborate with channel partners to significantly improve CAC & ROI.
Track impact of product experiments and retention campaigns on business metrics, and assist any ad hoc data analytics related to the same.
Creating the Annual Operating Plans for the User Growth function and refreshing the outlook for the year every quarter with updated assumptions by working with business teams.
Tracking end to end KPIs of customer journey right from acquisition through different marketing channels, conversion & deposits, user engagement, user retention, revenue and contribution.
Minimum Qualifications
- Extremely high attention to detail, high Why-Centricity and hustle mentality
- Chartered Accountant / MBA with 6+ years of work experience
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling and presentations
- Hands-on with with tools such as SQL, Excel, Tableau
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Prior experience in FP&A or Business Finance or Business Planning Analytics
- Proactive, takes initiative, self-motivated, team player
- Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Business acumen, analytical approach, understanding of general business development and operations
- Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns
- Experienced in leading small teams
