Job DescriptionAbout the Role:
You will be responsible for efficient and reliable operations of the process and utility systems and equipment within his/her area of responsibility.
How you will contribute:
- Cover assigned shift as required and be available for rotational assignment as needed
- Monitor contractors on assigned shift to ensure compliance with procedures and policies
- Maintains cross boundary relationships with supervisors and leads to insure consistent effective plant communication and equipment readiness.
- Insures efficient communication and transfer of critical information to other maintenance personal and impacted groups during shift pass down or as solicited.
- Ensures quality of work, provides in-house expertise .
- Coordinates release and acceptance of Plant equipment and systems according to current maintenance procedures and practices.
- Monitors the operation of critical building systems, documents operational conditions and responds to abnormal conditions or alarming by coordinating and documenting appropriate corrective follow up measures.
- Supports or performs planned or corrective maintenance on critical utility and process systems
- 50% Support 24/7 Plant operations, perform daily logs, alarm reports, building inspections, perform operations-based preventative maintenance, document work performed accurately and compliantly in GMP records
- 20% Responsible for the operational readiness of the plant working closely with peers and ensuring deficiencies are resolved timely and with finality.
- 10% Support calibration, maintenance, engineering, and repair activities within ensuring that work is performed in accordance with established procedures
- 10% Evaluates equipment performance and recommends improvements to Maintenance Program and System Design
- 10% Ensure a safe work environment is maintained through adherence to safety guidelines and policies
What you bring to Takeda:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrated abilities and/or evidence of training in repair, operations, and
- troubleshooting of electromechanical process equipment and utility systems
- Experience with control systems, SCADA and BMS systems preferred but not required.
- Relevant experience in Bio-Pharmaceutical, petrochemical and/or packaging industries.
- Good Communication skills and ability to provide training as supervision to contractors
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Good working knowledge of plant facilities and process equipment/systems
- Competency in maintaining and reviewing facilities related cGMP documentation
- Performs troubleshooting of critical facility and process equipment.
- Makes decisions on operations and maintenance of critical Plant equipment and systems.
- Ability to handle emergencies on process equipment with minimal or no supervision.
- Makes recommendations to maintenance management on equipment performance and design improvements.
- Coordinates maintenance activities with manufacturing leads and supervisors.
- Interfaces with validation specialists and engineering activities.
- Maintains communication with contractors and supply vendors

Important Considerations:
At Takeda, our patients rely on us to deliver quality products. As a result, we must follow strict rules in our manufacturing facilities to ensure we are not endangering the quality of the product. In this role, you may:
- Work in a controlled environment requiring special gowning and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body. This may include additional hearing protection for loud areas.
- Need to remove all make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish and/or artificial fingernails while in the manufacturing environment.
- Work in a cold, wet environment.
- Work multiple shifts, including weekends, or be asked to work supplemental hours, as necessary.
- Work around chemicals such as alcohol, acids, buffers and Celite that may require respiratory protection.
- Should be able to climb ladders, reach, bend and lift loads up to 50 lbs.
- Travel between Takeda sites
- Have a valid driver's license
- Required to carry cell phone or other mobile device and to be on call to support
- Acwuire a Wastewater Treatment Grade 1I or higher within the first year of employment

U.S. Hourly Wage Range:
$27.60 - $43.37
The estimated hourly wage range reflects an anticipated range for this position. U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term incentives.
