Role: Senior M&A Manager
Location: Winston-Salem, NC (or Hybrid from Charlotte, Raleigh, or Greensboro)
Company Summary: We are currently partnered with a highly acquisitive commercial real estate advisory firm looking to add a Senior M&A Manager to their highly active and quickly growing deal team. The M&A team focuses on meeting the company's growth efforts by identifying potential acquisition targets in the lower middle market/middle market space, and acquiring either the real estate of the acquisition target or the entire business itself. The team is now looking to build out their sell side M&A practice, so they're able to sell the assets they have acquired thus far. Through this unique and dynamic approach, this individual will have the opportunity to spearhead internal growth efforts and be a key player in building out the sell-side M&A practice at the company.
The Senior M&A Manager will be responsible for:
- Leading and overseeing sell-side M&A advisory engagements from initiation through successful close.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis and modeling to support acquisition and divestiture decisions.
- Design and manage end-to-end due diligence processes, evaluating financial, operational, and legal risks.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic mid-market buyers and sellers.
- Structure, negotiate, and execute transactions that align with client goals and maximize value creation.
- Coordinate closely with internal teams and external advisors to ensure smooth deal execution.
- Deliver strategic insights on market dynamics, industry trends, and growth opportunities.
- Prepare and present comprehensive reports and recommendations to executive leadership.
- Lead business development initiatives by cultivating relationships with private equity firms and strategic investors.
The Senior M&A Manager should have should have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- At least 4 years of experience working across sell side M&A transactions in the middle market/lower middle market
- A proven track record of successfully managing M&A transactions from start to successful completion
- Strong Financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills
- Currently located in the Winston-Salem, NC area or willing to relocate
