About the Role Redhorse Corporation is seeking a highly experienced Senior Logistician Subject Matter Expert to contribute to our team supporting the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Sustainment (ASD(S and the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense, Logistics (ODASD(Log . This critical role will directly impact warfighting readiness and lethality by improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the Joint Logistics Enterprise. You will provide vital expertise in supply chain management and policy development, shaping the future of DoD logistics. This position offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of national security, influencing key policy decisions within the Department of Defense. Key Responsibilities Provide Department-level recommendations, advice, and assessments in the areas of Supply Support, Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Disposition.
Write, develop, execute, and oversee Logistics policy.
Provide information regarding agency policies or regulations.
Work with regulatory guidelines, standards, and executive decision-making processes that impact and support the DoD Supply Chain (examples: 10 USC 3242, 10 USC 2451, 10 USC 2453, 10 USC 2454).
Provide technical expertise to ensure that all aspects of policy revisions and updates are explored to provide options, alternative proposals, or predicted impacts. Experience in incorporating revisions, changes, and updates that do not create conflict or violate statutory instructions.
Work with current supply chain DoD-issuances, their application, and impact on the DoD supply chain. Issuances to be addressed can include:
DoDI 3110.06, "War Reserve Materiel (WRM)"
DoDI 4140.01 "DoD Supply Chain Materiel Management Policy"
All volumes of DoDM 4140.01.
DoDM 4140.68 "Integrated Materiel Management of Non-consumable Items"
DoDM 4140.70 "DoD Supply Chain Materiel Management Procedures for Storage and Material Handling"
DoDI 5000.85 "Major Capability Acquisition".
Required Experience/Clearance Active TS/SCI Clearance.
Experience communicating key findings and recommendations.
More than ten (10) years of relevant experience in the primary duties and responsibilities above.
Master's degree in supply, Logistics, English, Communications, Public Policy, or a related discipline required OR twenty (20) years or more of relevant experience.
Desired Experience Experience working directly with the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Sustainment (ASD(S or the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Logistics (ODASD(Log .
Familiarity with other relevant DoD instructions and publications beyond those listed above.
Advanced knowledge of specific legislative requirements related to DoD supply chain management.
