Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced Senior Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in all aspects of personal injury litigation support. This is an excellent opportunity for a paralegal who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about advocating for clients.
Responsibilities:
- Personal Injury Expertise: Manage all phases of personal injury litigation, from intake to trial.
- Discovery Mastery: Expertly handle discovery in personal injury cases, including drafting and responding to interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admissions.
- Deposition Expertise: Prepare for and assist with depositions, including scheduling, witness preparation, and summarizing transcripts.
- Medical Record Management: Obtain, review, and summarize medical records and bills.
- Demand Packages: Prepare and draft comprehensive demand packages.
- Drafting Prowess: Draft and prepare legal documents, including complaints, motions, pleadings, and correspondence with precision and efficiency.
- Case Management: Maintain and organize case files, manage deadlines, and ensure compliance with all court rules and procedures.
- Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research using online databases and other resources.
- Trial Preparation: Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, preparing witness binders, and coordinating logistics.
- Client Communication: Maintain empathetic and effective communication with clients, attorneys, and court personnel.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience as a personal injury litigation paralegal.
- Proven expertise in all aspects of personal injury discovery, depositions, and drafting legal documents.
- Strong understanding of North Carolina personal injury law and procedures.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in legal research databases and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Paralegal certification preferred but not required.
