Job Title: Sr. Litigation Paralegal
Location: Palo Alto, Los Angeles, or San Francisco Office (Hybrid - 3 days in office per week)
Reports To: Paralegal Supervisor
About the Firm: We are a prestigious AM 100/200 law firm seeking a highly skilled Litigation Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong and stable work history, substantial trial experience, and a commitment to excellence in legal support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with complex commercial litigation matters, including trial preparation and support.
- Manage and organize case files, conduct legal research, and draft legal documents.
- Coordinate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel regarding case-related matters.
- Prepare and file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents in federal and state courts.
- Analyze and summarize legal documents, depositions, and discovery responses.
- Assist in trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, coordinating witness logistics, and preparing trial binders.
- Manage document review processes and maintain litigation databases.
- Track billable hours and meet the firm's 1500-hour monthly billing requirement.
- Travel nationally as required for case needs and trial support.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal, preferably in complex commercial litigation.
- Bilingual in Spanish (required).
- Experience working in an AM 100/200 law firm or at least 10+ years in a smaller law firm.
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year accredited institution.
- Extensive trial experience, including trial preparation and in-court assistance.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state court procedures and e-filing systems.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in litigation support software and document management systems.
Interview Process:
- Initial interview with Molly.
- Second round with the Paralegal Supervisor and Manager.
- Final interview with the Director of Litigation Support.
