As a Senior Linux Systems Engineer, you will play a crucial role in shaping various naval training and simulation systems, including the CIAT - Combined Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) and Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Trainer. Your responsibilities will encompass technical planning, hardware design, network engineering, Linux OS configuration, and the development and deployment of Linux-based training systems. You will be at the center of systems requirements analysis, contributing to cutting-edge trade studies that explore the latest hardware innovations.

In this role, your expertise will significantly influence our team's success and the exceptional products we deliver. Required Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Sciences, Network Engineering, Systems Software, or a related field.
Required Experience
  • U.S. Citizenship is required; must be able to obtain a U.S. Government granted security clearance. Employment is contingent upon receiving an interim Secret security clearance.
  • 8+ years of relevant work experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrable expertise with the Linux operating system (e.g., Red Hat Enterprise Linux or similar).
Desired Experience
  • Experience with Atlassian products for documenting findings, breaking down requirements, tracking bug reports, and monitoring development progress.
  • Experience in building and configuring virtual machines, containers, and using orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
  • Strong team leadership skills, planning deliveries, and ensuring readiness and proper tools for installing training systems.
  • Ability to represent the team to Government customers, explain status, address issues, and present solutions effectively.
  • Proven capability to perform root cause analyses on complex technical challenges, typically related to new hardware or software products.
Pay Range: $104,650.00 - $189,175.00
