The Leidos Office of the Chief Information Officer is looking for a Senior Linux Systems Administrator to enhance our efforts in supporting classified environments. You will play a crucial role in maintaining, securing, and providing support for sophisticated classified information systems, while ensuring adherence to critical security protocols and regulations.

Location: All work will be performed on-site at our King of Prussia, PA office.

Clearance: Must be a U.S. Citizen with a current Top Secret clearance and the ability to obtain clearance for Special Access Programs (SAP) and eligibility for Special Compartmented Information (SCI). Clearance must be maintained for the duration of your assignment.

What will you be responsible for?

In this dynamic role, you will engage in activities to safeguard information and uphold security measures for entire systems, sites, or programs, thereby minimizing risk.
  • Ensure all programs achieve and maintain compliance with government regulations, along with managing compliance artifacts like vulnerability scans, STIGs, SCAP scans, network diagrams, and necessary documentation.
  • Install, configure, and maintain diverse server environments including VMware, Windows, and RedHat-based systems.
  • Work independently to complete urgent projects such as building infrastructure, executing complex software installations, coordinating with customers and subcontractors, and reaching out to end users.
  • Establish, troubleshoot, and sustain network communications involving various sites and partners, including both networking and encryptor devices.
  • Perform other essential duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with 8-12 years of experience; Master's degree with 6 years' experience; Associate degree with 10 years' experience; or equivalent relevant experience and industry certifications may substitute for a degree.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with a current Active Top Secret security clearance, along with sustained eligibility for clearance for Special Access Programs and SCI.
  • Must possess a DoD 8570 IAT level II or higher certification, such as CompTIA Security+.
  • Extensive experience operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining RedHat-based operating systems, including HPC Clusters.
  • Experience working within a Windows-based domain environment, covering workstations, Active Directory, DNS, Exchange, and SharePoint.
  • Demonstrated experience leading large projects, including new infrastructure setups, tech refreshes, and complex software installations.
  • Experience in implementing and managing container-based solutions utilizing Docker or Podman.
  • Proficient in maintaining host-based security using Trellix ePolicy Orchestrator.
  • Familiarity with change management procedures, roles, and responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and experience maintaining compliance artifacts including SCAP scans, STIGs, and Nessus Vulnerability reports.
Preferred Qualifications
  • RedHat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) certification.
  • Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA) certification.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL, Microsoft Exchange, or Microsoft SharePoint technologies.
  • Experience in configuring Cryptographic Encryptors (TACLANEs).

Pay Range:

Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline and not a guarantee of compensation. Factors considered in extending an offer include job responsibilities, education, experience, and other relevant qualifications.
