We are seeking an experienced Learning Experience Consultant with strong project management skills to support training program development of a state-of-the-art training center for field service technicians in the Permian Basin. This new center will deliver high-impact, hands-on equipment and safety training using hybrid learning solutions, beginning with foundational curricula in energy isolation, excavation, and mobile equipment safety (e.g., trucks and lifts).
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the analysis, design, and oversight of development for initial high-priority training modules launching in Q3 2025.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to define learning objectives, training requirements, and performance outcomes.
- Design engaging, effective hybrid learning solutions that include classroom instruction, hands-on activities, and digital content.
- Establish scalable instructional frameworks and training standards that will guide future curricula through .
- Ensure all training materials comply with safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Apply project management principles to manage timelines, milestones, and deliverables, coordinating across SMEs, developers, and quality control.
- Provide day-to-day direction and support to a cross-functional team of instructional designers, developers, and other training contributors to ensure high-quality deliverables and alignment with project goals.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders, providing regular updates, facilitating reviews, and ensuring alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Instructional Design or Learning Experience Design, with a focus on equipment and safety training for field service technicians.
- Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end learning projects, including training needs analysis and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience developing hands-on training for field service technicians in oil and gas, utilities, construction, or a similar industry.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and operational procedures related to energy isolation, excavation, and mobile equipment.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design models, and blended learning strategies.
- Proficient in project planning and collaboration tools (e.g., MS Project, or similar).
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Background in launching new training initiatives or facilities in safety-critical environments.

Duration: 6 months with potential for extension
Work Hours: 50 hours per week
Location: Midland, TX (Hybrid - some onsite presence required LG1 )
Duration: Contract (initial engagement through Q3 2025, with potential extension through 2027)
The pay range is $70 to $80 per hour on a W2 basis and is determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, relevant education, certifications, and specific work location.
