The Role

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Lead Software Architect to drive the design and evolution of our network data collection systems and API infrastructure. This role is critical in shaping our software architecture for interacting with network devices using protocols such as SNMP, NetFlow, and other network communication standards. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in designing robust, scalable RESTful APIs and working with legacy applications that manage configuration, authentication, and control of diverse network environments.

The Main Responsibilities
  • Architect and lead the design and development of systems for collecting, processing, and storing network data using SNMP, NetFlow, and related protocols.
  • Design and enforce standards for REST-based APIs that expose network telemetry and control functions to internal and external consumers.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define software architecture principles, ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability.
  • Modernize and maintain legacy applications used for network device configuration, communication, and authentication, ensuring continued reliability and integration with newer systems.
  • Evaluate and integrate industry best practices and new technologies to enhance system performance and observability.
  • Lead code reviews, architecture reviews, and provide mentorship to engineering teams on best practices for software development.
  • Drive the adoption of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines in support of network software services.
  • Provide technical oversight for the implementation of network automation and orchestration frameworks.
  • Author and maintain architecture documentation, technical specifications, and deployment strategies.
What We Look For in a Candidate
  • 10+ years of software engineering experience.
  • 7 plus years of experience in designing and developing home-grown performance and network-management systems for global carrier-class networks.
Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

Location Based Pay Ranges:

$129,639 - $172,852 in these states: AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, WI, WV, and WY.

$136,121 - $181,494 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NC, NH, NV, OR, and RI.

$142,603 - $190,137 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DC, DE, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.
