Labor & Employment Law Attorney Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced senior litigator to join our litigation team. This role offers the chance to work on high-impact, complex cases in a collaborative and mission-driven environment. The ideal candidate will have at least six years of litigation defense experience and a strong background in developing case strategy, managing litigation in both state and federal courts, and handling all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, and trial.

This attorney will be a key player in high-profile cases involving labor and employment, public sector law, and government-related litigation. We seek a seasoned litigator with the expertise to lead and manage complex cases, advocate for clients in trial and appellate courts, and represent them before administrative agencies.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Oversee and actively participate in all phases of litigation, including case strategy, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
  • Lead trial proceedings by examining witnesses, presenting arguments, and advocating before judges and juries.
  • Manage complex litigation cases at both the state and federal levels, including those involving constitutional and statutory law, as well as class actions.
  • Represent clients in court and administrative hearings, including proceedings before the Public Employment Relations Board.
  • Provide direct client counsel on investigations, strategic planning, and ongoing legal matters.
  • Handle high-stakes cases in labor and employment law, as well as public sector litigation.
  • Mentor and collaborate with associates and legal staff to foster professional growth and teamwork.


Qualifications:


  • 6 Years' experience managing and litigating complex cases in state and federal courts.
  • Strong ability to develop, coordinate, and execute discovery in high-stakes state and federal matters.
  • Expertise in labor and employment law, public sector law, or government-related litigation is highly preferred.
  • Exceptional written and oral advocacy skills, with a proven record of success in trial and appellate proceedings.
  • Strong strategic thinking, case management, and client relationship-building abilities.
  • Demonstrated dedication to public sector service or public interest legal practice.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and provide mentorship to junior team members
  • Licensed to practice law in California and in good standing with the State Bar.
