The Role: Cognizant is looking for an experienced and innovative Senior Java Developer to serve our diverse base of global clients. Location: Costa Mesa, CA (Hybrid) Work Authorization

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of complex software solutions using Spring Boot and Java.
• Oversee the implementation of design patterns to ensure scalable and maintainable code.
• Provide expertise in JUnit5 for unit testing and ensure high-quality code.
• Utilize YAML for configuration management and ensure seamless integration.
• Manage version control using GIT and maintain a clean code repository.
• Develop and maintain JSON and XML data structures for application integration.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement technical solutions.
• Ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards across the development team.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation.
• Mentor junior developers and provide guidance on technical challenges.
• Contribute to the overall architecture and design of the application.

Qualifications:

• Must have strong experience in JUnit5 Design Patterns YAML Spring Boot Java JSON GIT XML and Spring Framework.
• Should possess excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Must have a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions.
• Should have strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Should have the ability to mentor and guide junior developers.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid work model and day shift.
• Should have a strong understanding of software development life cycle and agile methodologies.
• Must be detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Should have a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential issues.
• Must be committed to continuous learning and professional development.
• Should have a passion for technology and innovation.
• Must be able to work independently and take ownership of projects.

Certifications Required Certified Java Developer Spring Professional Certification

The annual salary for this position is between $81,337 - $141,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
