Job Description: In this contingent resource assignment, you may: Consult as an expert Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Data Engineer - Ab Initio with our client in the financial Industry located in Wilmington, DE. This is a 24+ month contract position.
Responsibilities: - Consult on the strategy and resolution of complex, large-scale engineering challenges
- Develop and influence business and technical solutions that require advanced evaluation and in-depth analysis
- Provide guidance and expertise to senior leadership in developing innovative engineering solutions
- Architect, design, and develop end-to-end scalable data applications and data pipelines
- Manage large volumes of data for batch processes and optimize their performance
- Create and manage asynchronous micro-batches and nonlinear batch processes
- Develop, implement, and maintain performance tuning strategies for batch processes
- Lead Ab Initio component integration with messaging systems such as Kafka or IBM MQ
- Collaborate on the adoption and improvement of CI/CD, change management, data security, and auditing processes
Required Qualifications: - 7+ years of Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work, consulting, training, military experience, or education
- 7+ years of experience in the Technology/Data Engineering field, specializing in architecting and developing scalable data applications and data pipelines
- 7+ years of experience with Ab Initio development and ETL development
- Proficient with Ab Initio Co> Op System, GDE, Unix systems, scripting, and GitHub
- Proficient with Oracle and messaging systems such as Kafka or IBM MQ
- Experienced with Ab Initio components that integrate with messaging systems like Kafka
- Familiar with workload automation tools such as Autosys
- Experience in converting database objects to JSON for data exchange
- Strong experience working with large volumes of data for batch processes and performance tuning
- Expertise in creating asynchronous micro-batches and managing nonlinear batch processes
- 5+ years of experience implementing data solutions with a focus on CI/CD, change management, data security, and auditing processes
