Overview SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a Senior Japanese Linguist-Language Instruction/Testing in Northern Virginia. I n this role you will provide language instruction in a professional environment with responsibility for lesson planning, delivery, and assessment of learning. Strong i nter-personal and communications skills are a must to supportively engage with adult students. Essential Job Duties D eliver instruction to students ranging on a starting level from 0 to 3 to raise their proficiency level on the Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) . Execut e the full cycle of lesson development/planning, instruction, and student assessment. Develop lesson plans for appropriate for beginners, intermediate , and advanced classes . F acilitate classes focused on real-world scenarios to d evelop student's skills in speaking, listening, and reading for both social and professional situations. Provide students with constructive feedback . C onsult and collaborate with customers on organization needs to further student success. Assess students' learning and proficiency levels base in the ILR scale. Minimum Requirements Bachelor ' s Degree in Education , Language, or a related field . The federal government requires all linguists on this contract to obtain and maintain a security clearance. This security clearance requires U.S. citizenship. Prior to beginning work, candidates must complete the process for a fully adjudicated TS/SCI (with poly) security clearance. SOSi will sponsor qualified candidates for clearance. Minimum of five years of experience in the foreign language in struction , assessing student proficiency , developing instructional curricula, and integrating current technology and cultural understanding. Possess excellent English written and verbal communication skills . Competency will be determined by a standardized exam which must be completed as part of the application process. Possess native or near native competency in Japanese . Competency will be determined by standardized language exams which must be completed as part of the application process. Experience in using SharePoint and Microsoft Office. Preferred Qualifications A ctive, in-scope TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph. Master's degree in E ducation , Language, or a related field. Overseas experience related to or utilizing Japanese language . V ersed in multiple teaching methods to support students' vari ed learning abilities and styles . Subject matter expertise in International Relations, Counter - terrorism , Economics, Legal/Law, Military, Narcotics, Science & Technology, Literature , and Cross-cultural studies are highly desirable. Work Environment O ffice environment. Full-time onsite work. No possibility of remote work .
