We are looking for a Senior Enterprise IT Support Officer (EITSO) - Installer to join our National Security Sector team and make contributions to an important Intelligence Community program. As part of this dynamic environment, you'll be integral in providing Tier 1 and 2 installer switch support with a strong focus on customer service. Please note that this role includes supporting 24/7 operations, and occasionally you may be required to work extended hours during critical periods or be available for last-minute requests.
Key Responsibilities: - Execute all aspects of network installations, including the physical setup of conduit, CAT5 and fiber optic cables, wall jacks, and communications equipment.
- Conduct installation tasks such as pulling and terminating cable, determining implementation requirements, and testing installations.
- Collaborate extensively with IT teams to ensure smooth deployment and ongoing operations of networks.
- Support projects related to cabling and installation, ensuring compliance with design documents.
- Participate in customer meetings to align efforts and improve service delivery.
- Contribute to the creation of Knowledge Articles, Work Instructions, and SOPs to enhance team performance.
- Provide insightful reports on team accomplishments, challenges, and overall success.
- Ensure compliance with contractual performance criteria and complete reporting requirements.
- Travel locally to client sites as needed.
- Work autonomously with guidance in complex situations.
- Install, configure, and maintain telecommunications equipment, including PC communications and data systems.
- Perform programming, maintenance, and diagnostics for telephone systems; troubleshoot outages and conduct preventive maintenance.
- Handle routine telephone moves, changes, installations, and repairs while following established procedures.
- Program telecommunications switches for service changes and conduct system adjustments as necessary.
- Assist engineering teams with technical issues, leveraging your strong communication skills.
- Provide excellent customer service while embracing various technical disciplines.
Security Clearance Requirement: - Must possess an active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
What We're Looking For: - Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
- 4+ years of relevant experience, with a Bachelor's degree preferred (substitution for additional experience considered).
- Proven experience with the implementation of classified and unclassified LAN infrastructures.
- Experience in installing and troubleshooting telephone instruments on classified networks.
- Ability to read and comprehend cable run lists.
- Familiarity with cabling techniques, such as 110 type cross connections and RJ45 patch panels.
- Solid knowledge of cabling standards and troubleshooting methodologies.
