The Senior IT Project Manager leads the IT PMO and ensures that its vision, mission, and values are realized. This individual defines PMO standards, ensures compliance, and provides both strategic leadership and hands-on project management. The role involves project setup, resource planning, dashboard maintenance, and communication, alongside driving organizational initiatives, training, and governance. This position can be based out of either our Skokie, IL or Kenosha, WI offices; if based in Kenosha, weekly travel to Skokie will be required.
Primary Responsibilities Include:PMO Leadership & Governance - Lead and manage the IT PMO office, ensuring alignment with IMS' strategic objectives.
- Define and enforce best practices, governance policies, and compliance standards.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of the IT PMO.
- Provide strategic oversight of the IT project portfolio, ensuring prioritization aligns with business objectives.
- Drive enterprise-wide change management efforts to enhance adoption of IT solutions.
Project & Portfolio Management - Oversee project lifecycles from proposal and requirements definition to implementation.
- Manage project priorities, scope, budgets, timelines, and stakeholder expectations.
- Leverage Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies in a hybrid environment.
- Develop, drive, and implement project goals with cross-functional teams.
- Manage risks proactively, identifying, escalating, and mitigating issues as needed.
Communication & Stakeholder Engagement - Maintain regular communication with leadership and stakeholders, ensuring transparency on project status, risks, and adjustments.
- Lead project meetings, providing clear recaps and actionable next steps.
- Drive collaboration between IT and business units to ensure project outcomes align with organizational goals.
- Provide consulting and training sessions to enhance project management maturity across IMS.
Technology & Process Optimization - Oversee and administer IT tools such as Jira and Confluence, ensuring alignment with PMO standards.
- Enhance project efficiency by continuously improving PMO processes and methodologies.
- Develop and maintain policy documentation and training materials for IT governance.
Resource & Financial Management - Recommend staffing plans and skill sets for projects based on complexity and needs.
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and third-party engagements to ensure successful project execution.
- Develop and track project budgets, optimizing costs while maintaining high performance.

Experience/Qualifications:Required: - Bachelor's degree in information technology, Business Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a project-centric IT environment.
- Proven experience leading a PMO office, defining governance, and implementing best practices.
- Strong expertise in Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
- Experience managing IT projects using a hybrid methodology.
- Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence for project tracking and reporting.
- Experience conducting consulting and training sessions on IT PMO governance.
- Knowledge of IT budget management and financial tracking for project cost control.
- Understanding of end-to-end supply chain principles and B2B eCommerce processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to recognize risks and initiate escalation and mitigation actions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels.
Desired: - Experience with enterprise change management strategies.
- Understanding of IT security, risk, and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC 2).
- Previous experience with MS Project.
- Familiarity with third-party vendor and contract management.
- Experience in Zero Trust security models for IT projects.
- Experience with Salesforce.
- PMP Certification is preferred but not required.
