Hybrid in Lansing, MI (onsite 1-2 times per week)

12-Month Contract (with high likelihood of annual renewal or conversion to FTE)

Scope

We are seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to lead various Lottery initiatives. This role involves leading, coordinating, and overseeing teams working on processes, procedures, and technical tasks related to these initiatives. Immediate projects include:
Document management system
Lottery network restructuring
Disaster recovery setup and testing

You will define scope, duration, resources, and cost, and determine the best course of action to achieve objectives.

Requirements
Experience: 8-10 years of hands-on IT Project Management experience required
Certification: PMP certification required
Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Project is required, as well as Excel, and PowerPoint
Project Experience: IT infrastructure/Network projects (Cisco), RFPs, Vendor Bidding Process, and Software Development/Engineering Projects.
Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills
Collaboration: Experience working with other managers and technical teams
Creativity & Judgment: Significant degree of creativity and latitude; works under limited supervision
Initiative Management: Ability to create structure and organization for managing complex initiatives, emphasizing quality, productivity, and consistency
Vendor & Procurement: Experience with vendors and procurement processes is beneficial

Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate work with teams, designing and implementing project roadmaps
Manage multiple projects, including a COTS document management system, from RFP process through vendor selection and implementation
Ensure smooth project execution by communicating with vendors, scheduling meetings, and overseeing implementation
Monitor and summarize progress on a weekly basis, directing corrective actions as needed

Additional Notes
This role involves significant interaction with vendors and managing procurement processes
You will be responsible for ensuring project timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met
