Brown Technologies is seeking a skilled and driven Senior IT/OT Analyst to support our Army customer at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL. This hybrid role involves direct collaboration with government stakeholders and cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience and a strong background in Zero Trust architecture, ICAM, voice modernization, IPv6, Windows 11 migration, and RMF processes tailored to Army and DoD environments. The role requires expertise in IT/OT integration, control systems architecture, policy analysis, and compliance with federal regulations. The candidate must be capable of interpreting assessments from Cyber Protection Teams (CPTs) and Black Start Exercises (BSEs), and clearly presenting findings to senior leadership. A bachelor's degree and willingness to travel are required.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities CIO Experience & Strategic Planning - Aligns IT/OT and IT strategies with organizational goals through collaboration with senior leadership.
- Coordinates with stakeholders and system owners to integrate technology initiatives across IT and OT infrastructures.
- Leads planning and implementation for Army's IPv6 transition across IT/OT systems.
- Supports secure, DoD-compliant Windows 11 migration with minimal disruption to Control Systems.
- Designs and optimizes IT/OT strategies to protect infrastructure, systems, applications, and data.
- Advises on Zero Trust implementation to enforce least-privilege access and real-time threat mitigation.
- Mentors and supports junior analysts and technical staff.
Risk Management & Compliance - Conducts risk assessments for IT/OT systems, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending mitigations per RMF and NIST guidelines.
- Guides integration of cybersecurity measures into IT/OT systems in accordance with organizational security standards.
- Ensures ongoing compliance with RMF processes and organizational policies.
Policy Development & Regulatory Analysis - Develops and evaluates IT/OT policies to align with applicable laws, DoD directives, and Army regulations.
- Maintains awareness of evolving legal and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.
- Integrates Zero Trust, IPv6, and Windows 11 strategies into Army IT/OT environments.
- Shapes and supports ICAM framework implementation for secure identity lifecycle and access control.
- Enhances identity governance with MFA and role-based access controls.
- Aligns ICAM policies with Army and DoD guidance for OT environments.
Security Documentation & Reporting - Prepares concise, actionable reports on cybersecurity risk posture for senior leaders.
Incident Response & Mitigation - Supports system owners in responding to IT/OT security incidents with tailored protocols and procedures.
- Analyzes post-incident reviews and integrates improvements into enterprise cybersecurity practices.
- Refines incident response strategies based on lessons learned.
Assessment Analysis & Presentation - Interprets results from CPTs, BSEs, and similar IT/OT assessments.
- Summarizes key risks and recommendations for leadership decision-making.
- Delivers executive-level presentations that clearly convey technical findings.
Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams - Partners across teams and stakeholder groups to apply IT/OT best practices program-wide.
Required Experience: - Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 plus years in IT/OT roles, including at least 3-5 years of experience in a senior role with CIO-level responsibilities.
- Active Secret Clearance
- Requires working on-site and travel
Preferred Qualifications:Preferred Education & Experience - Master's degree preferred.
- Strong experience with Army IT/OT processes and hands-on expertise securing OT and Control Systems.
- Proven ability to lead teams, support strategic decisions, and engage senior leadership across technical domains.
- Advanced knowledge of Zero Trust frameworks (e.g., micro-segmentation, identity-based access, continuous monitoring).
- Deep understanding of RMF, NIST 800-53, and cybersecurity principles across IT and OT environments.
- Experience securing SCADA, ICS, and other industrial control systems with a focus on risk and compliance.
- Proficiency in ICAM, IPv6 implementation, and Windows 11 deployment.
- Demonstrated experience in policy development and regulatory analysis within government/military environments.
- Ability to interpret and apply IT/OT laws, directives, and DoD regulations across operational contexts.
- In-depth knowledge of Army-specific IT/OT standards and security practices.
- Skilled in analyzing CPT, BSE, and similar assessments to generate actionable insights.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for senior audiences.
- Effective in both independent and team environments; excels in balancing security and mission objectives.
- Critical thinker with a proactive approach to emerging IT/OT threats.
Certifications - Preferred: CISSP, CISM, CISA, or similar industry-recognized credentials.
