Description

SAIC is seeking a talented and innovative Senior IT Modernization Specialist to join our team supporting the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) Operations & Maintenance (O&M) contract. The Senior IT Modernization Specialist will drive continuous improvement and innovation in FEMA's IT infrastructure. This position is hybrid remote and is located in Washington, DC.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Continuous Improvement : Identify and implement enhancements and innovative solutions for FEMA's IT systems.
  • IT Leadership : Lead enterprise-level IT systems development and sustainment, including transitions, modernizations, acquisitions, and transformations.
  • AI/Gen AI Implementations : Implement AI/Gen AI engagements, leveraging prior experience with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) or other government agencies.
  • Project Managemen t: Utilize experience in software sustainment, IT modernization, and IT project management to lead projects effectively.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration : Engage with stakeholders to understand needs and deliver IT solutions that enhance mission capabilities.
  • Compliance : Ensure compliance with FEMA policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field and 9 years of related experience. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Certifications : Must have the following certifications:
  • Azure Fundamentals Certification
  • One AI Certification
  • PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner)
  • PMP (Project Management Professional)
  • AI Experience : Minimum of 1 year of experience in implementing AI/Gen AI engagements at DHS or other government agencies.
  • Clearance : Must obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance prior to starting work under this contract.
Desired Skills:
  • Proven experience in leading enterprise-level IT systems development and sustainment for the Federal government.
  • Hands-on experience in software sustainment, IT modernization, or IT project management.
  • Strong ability to bring continuous improvement and innovative solutions to complex IT challenges.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
